Wear comfortable and breathable clothes that don't restrict your movement.

Dance shoes are welcome but not required! Socks are a good alternative, but tennis shoes/sandals are difficult to dance in and not recommended.

As stated above, dance shoes are welcome but not required! Socks are a perfectly acceptable alternative for all classes, especially for beginning dancers.

Other shoes that will not scratch the studio floor are also acceptable, although we do not recommend dancing in tennis shoes as it makes it more difficult to do many steps.

If you are looking to purchase shoes: women can dance both Standard and Latin dances with a pair of Latin shoes, and men can dance both Standard and Latin dances with a pair of Standard shoes. You can also buy both types if you want!

Heel caps are strongly recommended for use in the studio.

Leads, wear nice black pants and a collared shirt. Wearing a vest and a tie is suitable for Standard, and you can remove and unbutton the top buttons of your shirt for Latin.

Follows, wear a long skirt (below the knee) for Standard and a short skirt (above the knee) for Latin

In general, you want to look nice and dressy for Standard, and you want to be flashy for Latin.
